A recent client inquiry sought a fire risk assessment for their newly occupied office space within a sizable commercial building. In response, our team conducted a comprehensive fire risk assessment and provided on-site consultancy to confirm that the office's fire safety measures were compliant with both required standards and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Recently, following the completion of a thorough fire risk assessment, Ryan and Max were asked by the client to perform a fire door survey throughout the premises. They revisited the site to conduct a comprehensive survey of each fire door, offering the client a detailed analysis and identifying each door for inclusion in an asset register. It is crucial to maintain your fire doors in compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

It was a pleasure to recently assist with the opening of a new franchise by providing the management team with up-to-date fire safety advice and consultancy. This included reviewing policies and procedures, as well as conducting fire safety awareness training for the new staff members. Additionally, we supplied the designated responsible person with a fire risk assessment to establish a solid foundation for fire safety in the new premises.

The team delivered comprehensive fire risk assessments to a local estate agency for a complete row of residential homes. These properties are Grade II listed houses that date back to the 1800s and are intended to support the residence of a former lace factory workers.

​The fire risk assessments were commissioned because, despite many of the properties having their own self-contained entrances and exits, the updated Fire Safety Act 2021 mandates that a fire risk assessment is still required when two or more domestic dwellings share the same structure. In this instance, several homes have been converted to accommodate both ground floor and first floor flats.

There are several new legislations that responsible parties must consider, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the Fire Safety Act 2021, the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, and the Building Safety Act 2022. While this may seem overwhelming, we aim to alleviate the stress by providing you with a clear and straightforward understanding of these regulations.

We have successfully supported this project from inception to completion, resulting in a newly purpose-built HMO property consisting of three units. Each unit underwent a pre-occupancy fire risk assessment to ensure the building's safety for incoming tenants and to verify that the fire strategy was effectively implemented. Recently, the team conducted the annual fire risk assessment review. We maintain ongoing communication with the proactive management team to promote best practices and stay informed about the latest fire safety information and developments within the industry.
